Botanically, this plant is known as Monstera deliciosa. The Monstera deliciosa is native to Mexico but has become a staple plant in everyone's home. The Monstera deliciosa is very easy to care for and enjoys a bit of sunlight and humidity to keep it happy but will forgive you if it doesn't receive it. As the plant matures the leaves develops holes. The technical term for plants making holes is leaf fenestration and that's what gives the monstera it's unique look.
Hints: Don't forget wipe its leaves with a damp cloth. The aerial roots absorb nutrients from the surrounding air in the environment and help the plant climb however the roots can damage walls
